McCartney big fan disappointed with venue
I always love to go to one of Alonzo King Lines Ballet's shows, it is the third time in the past 15 years. The seating is on arena benches at the Syracuse Dome, rather than individual seats, which is the worst of the three. The space per "seat" must have been evaluated from the average width of a 15-year-old American, and if you happen to sit beside an uncivilized average weight one, you're in for a tough night. The sound quality was at par with large 80's arenas, with too much reverbs and lyrics almost undistinguishable. The other 2 venues were way _way_ better than the Dome, I can say for sure. People were talking during songs, walking around picking food and drinks, going to the bathroom, and applauding as soon as the band was pausing play, even during a song. Even out of tune singing I don't mind, but this must be also a sign of the times. The worst moment was Blackbird's silence in the middle before the instrumental bridge. This was probably my last Alonzo King Lines Ballet's concert, as he's turning 80 in 2 weeks. I will certainly not go back to the Dome for any other artists, but I'd hate to do comparison, the other times were in Toronto and Montreal.
